I know this isn’t really a unique thought, but I truly can not believe how quickly Christmas is approaching. With less than 20 days to go, it’s crunch time for holiday shopping. I usually try to get the majority of my holiday shopping done by now so I can take advantage of the many sales going on for Black Friday, but inevitably, there are always a few stragglers. My goal is to be done with all my Christmas shopping next week, so I can just sit back and enjoy!
I shared my main gift guides last week in this blog post, but I also felt inspired to share some of the things I already own, but think would make a great gift. One of the guides I shared previously is “My Favorite Things,” and you may notice a little crossover between the two lists. You can honestly think of this as an extension of that gift guide! Unlike my previous gift guides, I’m going to share a little bit more detail about each of the products featured and why I love them!
Mackenzie Childs Recipe Box: This recipe box was the first Christmas gift Shane ever gave me! We had only been dating for a few months, but luckily, he knew me well enough to ask my mom for ideas about what to get me. I had mentioned to my mom in the past that I had always wanted a recipe box to store all my favorite recipes in over the years. I imagined my future children pulling out cards with their favorite recipes from the box for me to make. I had always admired Mackenzie Childs’s Courtly Check pattern, but I didn’t own any of my own, and clearly, my mom knew that! When I opened the gift from Shane, I was stunned! Over the years, I have loved filling out the cards with my favorite recipes to make and filling them with memories. While it is one of the most special pieces I own, it’s also something that gets a lot of use! The perfect gift in my opinion!
Lake Pima Cotton Robe: I probably sound like a broken record with my love for Lake, but I can’t help it! Everything I try from the brand is a win for me, and I promise I spent my money (and still do) on their pieces long before I was ever gifted anything from them. In terms of their robes, I own two different versions—the classic pima robe and the scallop one, which was what my bridesmaids and I wore while getting ready for my wedding! I reach for one of these two robes whenever I need something to wear while I’m getting ready. They are the perfect weight, fit generously, and are oh-so-soft. I even gifted one to my mother-in-law a few years ago for Christmas! They are the kind of gift that will make the recipient feel totally spoiled whenever they wear it.
Chappy Wrap Blanket: I received a blanket from ChappyWrap a little over a year ago after seeing them hyped up all over my Instagram feed. I was skeptical, but I quickly understood the hype! They are the coziest blankets! It’s hard to explain why I love it so much, but there’s just something about it. It’s kind of heavy, which I find makes it really cozy! One of my favorite parts is that it’s machine washable, too. They come in tons of fun patterns and colors. I love gifting things that are an elevated version of something someone might already own or buy, and these blankets fit the bill!
RMS Beauty Lip Oil: Okay, I actually only just got this lip oil last week after ordering it during their Black Friday Sale, but I love it so much! In my opinion, it’s the perfect lip gloss! It applies thinly but still feels super hydrating and offers a nice tint without being overly-pigmented. I got the color Karolina, but they have a bunch of different shades depending on your vibe. This would make a great stocking stuffer for the beauty lover in your life.
Current Body LED Mask: This one’s definitely a splurge, but wow do I love it! I’ve been using this mask now for a few months, and I can really tell a difference in my skin from it especially when I’m using it consistently. I try to use it every other night, and I can tell it just makes my skin look and feel more youthful and bright. I think it’s probably one of those things that is hard for other people to notice, but I totally do if that makes sense. Luckily, Current Body offered me a discount code! Thermal Styling Brush: My thermal brush is one of my hair styling secret weapons and totally revives second and third day hair. Sometimes, I use it to add a flip to my ends, and other times, I do full-on curls with it. Every time, I’m so impressed with the results. And it’s incredibly easy to use!
Ralph Lauren: A Way of Living Coffee Table Book: This book is a treasure trove for the interior design lover. It captures the beauty of all of Ralph’s homes and is full of so much inspiration. I pored over the entire thing when I first got it and fell in love with the various styles he uses to decorate each of his homes.
InnBeauty Extreme Cream: This face cream has been compared by many people as a dupe to the Augustinus Bader Rich Cream, and while I haven’t tried that one before, the comparison makes me feel like I don’t need to! This is my favorite moisturizer to use on days when I’m doing full makeup. It melts into the skin and creates the perfect base for makeup to layer on top of perfectly. This duo comes with a full size and travel size, making it perfect for the girl on the go!
MZ Wallace Metro Tote in Black Lacquer: I bought my first MZ Wallace tote many summers ago in a bright green color that they no longer make, but ordered this shiny black one not too long after as soon as fall came around because it was such a great bag! These totes carry so. much. stuff. and the zipper top makes it perfect for travel. I also love that the bag is super lightweight to begin with so you can really fill it on up.
Petite Keep Trunk: My mom gave me a Petite Keep trunk at one of my bridal showers and filled it with things for the wedding day, and it was one of my favorite gifts. After the wedding, I filled it with all of the beautiful keepsakes from the day that I knew I’d want to hold onto forever. If someone in your life has a special milestone coming up like a wedding, graduation, new baby, etc, one of these trunks would make the most special gift!
Ralph Lauren Wyatt Nut Bowl: We received this nut bowl from my friend Fran as a wedding gift and use it more often than we even thought we would. Whether I’m pulling it out t hold nuts when we have guests coming over, or filling it with different snack mixes while we’re just lounging around the house, it makes even the mundane days feel special.
