I can’t believe Christmas is right around the corner and before we know it, it’ll be 2020! I’ve heard so many people talk about how excited they are for 2019 to be over, but if I’m honest I’ve loved 2019. So many amazing things have happened for me from graduating college, to starting my new job, and so many things in between (more on that later haha). I don’t really want 2019 to end! In my opinion a good year vs. a bad year is all about mindset, so it’s not that I’m worried 2020 won’t be great, I just don’t really know how it can possibly live up to how much I’ve loved 2019. Anyways, we can’t get to the New Year without passing Christmas and I’m so excited for it this year! Here’s what I’m asking for for Christmas…
One of the things I’ve loved the most since graduating is falling in love with baking again. Growing up, my dream was to be a baker when I grew up, but when I went to school I never got to do it since I didn’t have a kitchen. now that I’ve been home I’ve been baking all the time. You’ll definitely notice a baking trend in this wishlist.
It’s interesting because I feel like in past years I’ve asked for a lot of different stuff just because it was cool or fun, or just for the sake of having it, but I definitely feel like I’ve been more intentional with my asks this year. These are all things I’ve been wanting for a really long time, and things I, for the most part, foresee myself having far into the future. I can see myself taking the KitchenAid Mixer with me to my apartment and even into my future home. And I have visions of taking recipes out of my recipe box and passing them down to my future children. You probably think I sound crazy, but that’s just been where my head’s been these days.
The thing that’s especially weird this year is that for the first time there was nothing I was dying to receive. Obviously I love all these items otherwise I wouldn’t be asking for them, but I would be just as happy if I didn’t get any of them. I’ve felt so fulfilled lately in every aspect of my life. My family and I are all healthy, I have a roof over my head, and I have the most amazing family I could ever ask for. I couldn’t be more grateful. All I truly want for Christmas is to be surrounded by all the people I love.
So, what do you want for Christmas?
With love from LA,
Sammy
