I can’t believe it’s already been 3 weeks since I graduated from USC. It doesn’t even feel real and I don’t know if I’ll even fully process it until the summer is over and, instead of going back to school, I just keep on working.
Today marks my first foray into adulthood: I start my real job! As you’re reading this I’m probably either sitting on my morning commute or working away at my desk. I’m equal parts excited and nervous for what’s ahead, but I figured today would as good a time as any to give you all a little bit of insight into my post-grad plans!
Work
As most of you already know, I’ve been an intern for Gray Malin since September working in digital marketing. Earlier this year, I accepted a full time offer from them to be their Digital Content Coordinator and I can not wait to dive into this role. It is truly the ideal job for me—I’ll be working on their blog, social media, and other digital marketing efforts out of their office in West Hollywood. We’re also heading on an exciting team trip to Barcelona next week that I can not wait for!
Travel
If you follow me on social media, you probably saw that I was traveling in Europe for the past three weeks with my grandma. It was the definition of the trip of a lifetime and I am so so grateful to have been able to spend that time with just her. Also, as I just mentioned, next week I’ll be in Barcelona with my Gray Malin family for a super exciting team trip. I’ve never been to Spain before and I can already tell this is going to be an amazing trip. I’m also going to be going to Hawaii with my family at the end of July for a good dose of R&R. I feel like a true jetsetter this summer!
Living
Since I accepted a job in LA, I decided it made the most sense for me to move home for a little bit and save up my money rather than spend all my income on rent right away. I also feel like being home will (hopefully) help make the adulthood transition a little bit easier and more gradual. I love being home though and am so excited to get to spend time with my mom, my friends from home, and be close to my friends from USC who are staying local!
It’s such a cliche but it really is so crazy how quickly time flies. I honestly feel like it was just last week that I was moving into my freshman dorm room and now I’m unpacking all of my college stuff back into my room at home. While part of me misses USC terribly, another part of me is so excited for what’s ahead and I can’t wait to share this new chapter with all of you. Here we go!

This is so surreal to me. I’ve followed your blog since you were in high school. We’re both taking big steps this year: you’re starting life after graduation and I’m a high school senior. I’m excited to read about this next adventure and see where life takes both of us.
