You know the feeling when your brain is running faster than it can process things and it’s all just… confusing? Well, that’s pretty much the only feeling I can think of that describes how this week felt. Don’t get me wrong, it was a pretty good week despite it feeling extremely long, but I just realized that I had wayyy too many things going on in my head. My SAT tutor has been ingraining this idea of a “reset button” that I can use when I am feeling overwhelmed and confused during the test or when I just feel my brain slowly shutting down. I really like this, even though I normally forget to use it, because it is a good way to visualize actually resetting my brain – take a step back, take a deep breath, press the “button,” and try and find a new perspective. I’ve been trying to use this idea of a reset button in my day to day life too. When I am feeling overwhelmed, I just tell myself to reset. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s actually pretty helpful.
