Today marks the beginning of my last week of classes as a freshman at USC and when I say this year has flown by, I really mean it. I honestly can not believe that this year is coming to an end so rapidly.
Looking back on my past year, it’s amazing how many memories I made in such a short period of time. From bonding with my roommate, joining my sorority, and going on adventures with my new friends, to struggling through my classes, making my fair share of mistakes, and taking my first set of finals, I wouldn’t change a thing. Every struggle I endured taught me a valuable lesson and every amazing moment I had reminded me to always try and take a step back to enjoy the present.
This weekend I was talking to my mom about how crazy it is that this is my last week of class and talking about it made it so much more real. At the end of this school year I am no longer going to belong to the youngest group of students at USC, I am no longer going to be living with my roommate, and I am no longer going to sleeping in my dorm.
Beyond working my way through my final round of homework this week before I hit the books for finals, I’m going to try my best to savor my last days as a freshman.
