Met Ball 2014 “Beyond Fashion”

Yesterday was one of my favorite days of the year. No, I’m not talking about Cinco de Mayo, silly, I’m talking about the Met Ball! (remember this post from last year’s ball?)

Every year I lust over the gorgeous dresses and dream of the day that I may get to wear something as exquisite as a custom Chanel or Oscar de la Renta, but for now daydreaming (and reading the next day’s headlines) are all I have, sigh. Still, I get such joy out of scrolling through the photos from the night picking my favorite, and not so favorites to share with you all!

I love Lupita, I love Prada, and I love Cartier. I guess I just don’t love them all together.

I may not be a Kimye fan, but it is impossible to deny that the future Mrs. West was a vision in navy last night (#navyornothing). I love how she kept it simple with the jewelry as well, so as not to take away from the beauty that is Lanvin. 

It would be a crime not to post a picture of HRH Anna Wintour outfitted in one of my favorites, dear old Chanel.

Emma Stone rocks pink Miu Miu with her handsome fella Mr. Andrew Garfield, or as I like to call him, Peter Parker. I’m not loving Andy’s new do though.

One Word: stunning. Hailee Steinfeld looks flawless as usual in Prabal Gurung.

Elle Woods is that you? Though, I wasn’t in love with the look, I couldn’t help but reminisce on Reese’s Legally Blonde days! Since I love Reese, I adore pink, and I lust over Christian Louboutin, I felt I had to share this look with you guys!

I was a little disappointed with Blair’s, I mean uh, Leighton’s look, hoping she would go for something a little more Gossip Girl-esque, but she looked divine in Emilio Pucci nonetheless.

My absolute favorite gown from the evening was worn by

Ms. Fashionista Extraordinaire herself, Sarah Jessica Parker! (Still can’t believe I got to meet her for my birthday!) There wasn’t a single thing about the dress that I disliked. SJP stole the show the moment she stepped foot on the red carpet and her photos made my heart flutter! I have such a sweet spot for everything she does and I am elated that Oscar de la Renta decided to save their best dress for the most amazing lady.
