Almost one year ago I shared a full tour of my bedroom here on the blog. As complete as my room felt and looked, there were still some things I my room was lacking, but I wasn’t willing to settle until I found the right pieces. Ever since I decorated my room when we moved into this house back in high school, I knew I wanted some kind of feather pillow to put on my bed as an accent as well as a dog bed for Daffy to sleep in comfortably when she was in my room with me. When Pottery Barn Teen reached out to me about selecting a few pieces to give my room a little makeover, I looked online to see if I could find anything that seemed to be just right. To my surprise they had the perfect pillow and an amazing dog bed. I knew it was a sign!
In the past, whenever I would find a feather pillow I thought I’d like, it always ended up being either too big, not soft enough, or not white enough. This pillow is the perfect size to compliment the pillows already on my bed, the color is my ideal crisp white and it’s sooooo soft. I’m obsessed with it and feel like it really elevates my bed!
Now, the most important part of this entire blog post is definitely this dog bed. When I saw it online I had this immediate gut feeling that Daffy would love it, but then again buying a dog bed is no easy feat and it sometimes takes dogs weeks to adjust to them. Not with this one! The minute I unboxed it, she jumped right in. I love it because it’s soft and squishy for Daffy, but I don’t have to sacrifice my bedroom decor for it! It makes me so happy knowing that Daffy has a comfortable place to lay down and nap in my room now!
For reference, Daffy is a Standard Labradoodle and I got her a size large. It’s definitely roomy and could totally work for a bigger dog as well!
You might also notice another huge difference to my room that I’ve made from last year… I got rid of my vanity! This corner of my room used to have a vanity with a huge mirror, but I traded it with my mom for her desk, so that I could have a better place to work on my blog and school work when I’m home. I like to call it “Preptista HQ.”
Another great piece that I’ve loved having in my room is this adorable bunny speaker. I love the whimsy of it and how easily it blends into the other items on my desk. It’s great because I typically keep my other speaker at school or in my bathroom when I’m home, so now I can have a speaker to play music at my desk too!
Working with Pottery Barn Teen on this mini-makeover was so much fun. Luckily, a lot of the items in my room are already from PB Teen, making it so easy to incorporate these new items in seamlessly. I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with a brand that I love so much (and I know Daffy is pretty grateful too)!
Thank you to Pottery Barn Teen for sponsoring this post!
