This weekend my family and I went up to Lake Arrowhead for a mini-vacay and to celebrate Mimi’s birthday (today)! We ended up leaving the lake yesterday afternoon and drove to Palm Springs because my parents (the crazy people they are) were craving heat (and by heat I mean 110 degrees). Also, we decided we aren’t really woods people. So now we are back at our favorite hotel, The Ritz Carlton, in Palm Springs soaking up the sun just for today and heading back home tomorrow. I got some pretty fun pictures at the lake though so I thought I would share them with you!

Mimi and I were kicking back in our sunnies enjoying the boat ride and frantically trying to avoid the water splashing over the edge! The more time I spend with my mom the more I realize how alike we are. Seriously though, we are the same person. I’m so proud to be half the person she is though because she is the most amazing, inspiring, and motivating women I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing.
