If you’re reading this, I’m either getting ready to go to the airport, waiting for my flight, or already on my 12 hour flight to Russia.
I’ve been looking forward to this trip ever since my grandma told me we could go three years ago. When I was a sophomore in high school I told my grandma that I want to visit Armenia with her so I could learn more about the culture. I’m half Armenian and half German and I had already seen Germany, so this was something that was important to me. Finally, three years later, the trip is actually happening. My grandma and I are heading to Russia for four days and then we are off to Armenia for the remaining fourteen.
Eighteen days is going to be a long time to be away from home. It’s the longest period of time I have ever spent away from my parents, and even though I am kind of scared and slightly in denial about how long I am really going to be gone, I am also really, really excited for the experience!
I will not have a computer on the trip, so you won’t be hearing from me for a while, but I promise I will have lots of pictures and stories to share when I get back! 🙂 You can also follow along with the trip on my Instagram (@preptista)!
