Can you believe we’re already more than halfway into January? 2021 flew by in the blink of an eye and if this month is any indication, it seems like 2022 is going to as well. I thought it would be great to kick off a new year of blog posts by sharing my 2021 favorites with you all. These are all either items I purchased or received in 2021 that I love and use all the time.
Electric Kettle | Gardenia Candle | Simple Modern Cup | Lake Pajamas DreamKnit | Lux Unfiltered Tan Face Drops | Nap Dress | Fanny Pack
Electric Kettle – You’ve probably seen the Smeg Kettle all over social media, and for good reason. I fell in love with it when I discovered it on Lauryn Bosstick’s Instagram and became obsessed with it until I finally received it as a birthday gift from Shane in March. It’s truly one of my favorite things because it makes it so much easier and faster to heat up water for my tea (I don’t really drink coffee anymore) and hot lemon water and also keeps the water hot! Plus, I love how cute it looks on my counter—major bonus!
White Gardenia Candle – I discovered the White Gardenia scent from Williams Sonoma over the summer when my mom bought it for her house and it quickly became one of my favorite candles ever. It’s no wonder, since I’ve always loved the smells of gardenia and jasmine. When Shane and I moved into our apartment (more on that soon), I bought the hand soap for both of our bathrooms and our kitchen and I also bought the dish soap. My mom surprised me with the candle too!
Simple Modern Cup – Like almost everyone else, I was influenced by Tinx (if you don’t follow her, you should) to purchase the Simple Modern Cup and boy oh boy do I love it! I got it in September and I’ve used it literally everyday since. I used to use a Hydroflask, but I love that this can fit in a cup holder and isn’t so bulky to carry around… it’s also pretty cute! I got the light pink and then also customized it with the matching light pink lid and straw!
Lake Pajamas DreamKnit – I’ve been wearing Lake Pajamas for a couple of years now, but it wasn’t until a recent trip to Atlanta when I finally discovered their DreamKnit Fabric… and boy is it a DREAM. The fabric is buttery soft and light as air… They quickly became my favorite pair of pajamas in my rotation.
Lux Unfiltered Face Drops – The Lux Unfiltered Face Drops are one of those beauty products you never knew you needed. I’ve tried tons of different self tanners over the years, these drops take the cake. They add the subtlest glow that looks totally natural and you can build upon it day by day. I add 6-8 drops as the last step in my skincare routine before sunscreen, but you can also mix it with your moisturizer.
Nap Dress – I’m sure by now you’ve already heard of (and may own) the Nap dress. Yes, they are just as amazing as everyone says. I acquired 5 Nap Dresses over the course of 2021… I think that sums up my love for them pretty well!
Fanny Pack – When the Fanny Pack trend first began to become a thing, I was sure that they weren’t my style. That was until I tried the Stoney Clover Fanny Pack. Their fanny packs are stylish and functional—the best of both worlds. I love that I get the hands-free freedom of a crossbody bag, but that it stays close to my body and doesn’t swing around. I use it everyday for errands and even carry one when I’m out on my walks.
