I’m no fitness guru and I wouldn’t exactly call this a health blog considering every recipe I’ve posted has been a dessert, but in the past few weeks I’ve noticed a major change in my weight that has left me feeling lighter, happier, and healthier, so I thought I’d take a moment to share it with you!
By the way, we are going to ignore the fact that I am eating Burger King for dinner while writing this post because it completely contradicts what I’m about to say. (Sometimes you just gotta satisfy the craving, you know?)
In the past 2 weeks or so I have lost about 10 pounds. Now, let’s get a few things straight:
No, I don’t workout everyday (or really ever for that matter), no, I’m not on a juice cleanse, and no, I haven’t given up dessert.
So, how am I dropping those lb’s you ask? Well, the answer is pretty simple. For starters, I only eat when I’m hungry. That may seem like a no brainer to some of you, but I am pretty sure I am not the only one who has reached for a bag of chips when I’m bored. Second, when I am hungry I eat something relatively healthy (except when I’m craving Burger King which is like once a year) sticking to mainly lean proteins, and fruits and vegetables. I’ve recently become addicted to açai bowls, which has really helped me in the “healthy” department. Third, I don’t eat an entire dessert. Sometimes when you are craving a sweet, all you need is one or two bites to satisfy yourself. Lately, when I’ve been getting dessert I’ve just given it one or two tastes and given the rest away or thrown it out. That way I still satisfy my sweet tooth without consuming excess sugar.
by cutting down on the excess snacking, I’ve really began to feel so. much, better.

PS. Since I didn’t do my normal lovely links post today, (technical difficulties I apologize) I just wanted to give a little shoutout to my buddy Quincy for starting a new blog! Go check it out!
